Somatic Experiencing Pt I

Embark on a profound journey in this episode as we engage in a captivating conversation with the esteemed master somatic practitioner and cherished friend, Tanya Wishlove. Born and raised on the West Coast (Sechelt, BC), Tanya has had the privilege of counseling in Kelowna, the unceded territory of the Syilx peoples, since 2012. Passionate about trauma-informed care, Tanya completed five years of Somatic Experiencing instruction and post-grad SE training (touch and early developmental disciplines) in 2017.   She is currently currently completing a four-year Feldenkrais Teacher Training program, which engages our capacity to gently interrupt maladaptive patterns of thought, emotion, behavior, and organization in the self through movement, attention, imagination and sensory awareness.

Tanya ardently loves working with people who want a deeper connection to their whole self and their inherent sovereignty,  creating superior experiences in their lives, and being absolutely full of themselves in their most authentic expression. Her favorite management strategies include music, movement and humor.

Together, we navigate the intricate landscape of trauma, dissecting its profound impact on the nervous system and unveiling the transformative potential inherent within somatic practices. Join us for an illuminating exploration into the art of unlocking and healing trauma through the profound wisdom of somatic practices.
